Portfolio: Commercial Buildings

Peoria Animal Hospital

This 5,000 sf veterinary clinic expresses on the outside the functions of the inside. Exterior "shade shelves" over all of the windows control sunlight and heat gain while being inspired by floating cat shelves. Tennis ball bollards add a playful element to the design.

"I believe that commercial buildings need to be flexible for changing markets/users as well as economical and profitable for Owners/tenants. This can all be achieved in an environmentally-conscious way to add beauty and value to the community as well as the overall architectural context."

Oak Creek Small Animal Clinic

This 5000 sf veterinary clinic fits into its beautiful Sedona site using generous roof eaves and green color palette (owls wanted to nest in the covered entry) while taking advantage of the red rock mountain views. The Treatment/Lab Areas are at the building core with surrounding support spaces for efficiency and functionality.

West Valley Pediatrics Medical Office

The 6700 sf medical office building expresses the principle of supporting and supported spaces by placing Exams (supported) at the perimeter served by hallways, staff and admin spaces (supporting) at the interior center. The Entry/Waiting Rooms are sheltered by a large pitched roof often depicted by children's drawings of home.

The Wellness Center

This 6000 sf wellness facility serves the community by providing various therapies including massage, hypnotherapy, acupuncture, etc. and Yoga, as well as a day school program. The project features a playground in the back and solar panel shade canopies in the front where outdoor gathering and seating areas occur.

Dreaming Summit Animal Hospital

This 6300 sf full-service pet clinic sits on 1.25 acres near a residential neighborhood. The interior is light, open & spacious centered around the Open Treatment Bay. The outside boasts a large, enclosed Dog Yard w/ small pool and a drive-through window for quick customer service.

Dr. Remus Repta

This project created a new Entry Lobby in a previous banal courtyard for patients to enter into either a world-class cosmetic plastic surgery center or a variety of medical offices (med spa, physical therapy, orthopedic, etc.). The design features angles to accentuate and mark the Entry while the spacious Lobby can be used for art exhibits and social events.
