The stone base looks like it grew naturally out of the mountain, and the sloped roofs match the mountain's slope while providing much appreciated shade. This home demonstrates that "southwest modern" can in fact be warm and inviting with the appropriate use of materials, colors, textures and door/window placement for views which look out to the distant city lights below.
